FINANCIAL FRAUDSTER NEWS INVESTIGATIONS EXCLUSIVE: Corporate Giant Sodexo’s Lawyers, Clyde and Co, Accused of Misleading High Court in 'Dirty Tricks' Campaign Against Claimant

London, UK – Financial Fraudster News can today expose a shocking case of apparent misrepresentation to the High Court by a leading international law firm, Clyde and Co, acting for the multi-billion-dollar services giant Sodexo Limited.

In a supplemental witness statement submitted in a case brought by claimant Kristaps Daugelis, Clyde and Co Associate Solicitor India Moore presented evidence that FFN can reveal is demonstrably misleading, in what appears to be a deliberate attempt to prejudice the court and undermine the claimant's case by attacking the legitimacy of his agent's registered office.

The case, KB-2025-002088, has taken a dramatic turn, shifting focus from the substantive claim to the conduct of Sodexo's legal team. The evidence suggests that either a top-tier solicitor failed to conduct the most basic due diligence or knowingly presented a false narrative to a High Court judge.

At the heart of the controversy is a witness statement by India Moore dated 29 September 2025. In it, she attempts to cast doubt on the validity of the service address used by the claimant's agent, UK Prisoner Support Services (UKPSS). Moore states that the address, 85 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 7LT, "appears to be unoccupied and is presently listed for rent." To support this, she exhibits a Rightmove listing and brochure, suggesting the premises are empty.

However, an FFN investigation has found these claims to be a gross misrepresentation of the facts. The address at 85 Great Portland Street is a fully operational and prestigious business services centre managed by MYCO Works. MYCO Works openly advertises a range of corporate services at this location, including meeting rooms for hire and virtual office addresses – a standard and legitimate practice for thousands of businesses across the UK.

The fact that a single unit or floor within a multi-tenanted building is advertised for lease does not render the entire building "unoccupied." For a solicitor at a firm like Clyde and Co to present this as evidence to suggest a business is non-existent is, at best, shockingly negligent and, at worst, a calculated attempt to mislead the court. A simple Google search or a five-minute phone call would have confirmed the building's status as a thriving business hub.

In her statement, Moore goes on to create a web of suspicion around the claimant, pointing to different email addresses and tenuous links between associated companies. She notes that an email domain used in correspondence is registered to weTQL LLP, a corporate debt firm, and that a former officer of a related company shares a correspondence address with an officer for UKPSS. She concludes, "It is therefore unclear to myself and the Defendant when and how the Claimant set up this email address, or whether it has been set up and is being used by someone else."

Legal experts contacted by FFN have labelled this a classic "smokescreen" tactic. "To take common, legitimate business practices – using a virtual office, having multiple email addresses, and interconnected business networks – and present them as inherently suspicious is a strategy designed to muddy the waters and prejudice the judge against the claimant," commented one legal analyst. "The duty of a solicitor is first and foremost to the court, not to win at all costs. Presenting half-truths or failing to provide the full context is a serious breach of that duty."

This leaves Sodexo Limited, the ultimate defendant, in a deeply compromising position. The FTSE 250 company, which provides services to schools, hospitals, and military bases across the country, is now embroiled in a scandal where its own lawyers stand accused of employing "dirty tricks" in the High Court. The question must be asked: Is Sodexo sanctioning this behaviour, or has it been poorly served by the "win-at-all-costs" culture at Clyde and Co?

This case shines a harsh spotlight on the tactics used by powerful corporate entities to fight claims brought against them. Rather than addressing the substance of the claim, the strategy appears to be to attack the credibility of the claimant and his representatives through innuendo and misleading information.

Financial Fraudster News has contacted both Sodexo and Clyde and Co for comment on the evidence presented in this article. As of our publication deadline, neither has provided a response. The case continues, but the focus has now shifted. The integrity of Sodexo and its legal team is on the line, and the High Court must now decide whether it has been the victim of a deliberate deception.
